About John
John Radebaugh was born and raised in the greater Detroit metro area of southeast Michigan. As a pre-teen he spent a summer at the prestigious Interlochen School of Music which fueled his love for the guitar and music. During these formative years he developed a growing interest in pursuing music as a career.
As a young teen he studied under prominent rock/blues guitarist, Robert Noll, who was teaching guitar lessons at a local music store at the time. Within 2 years, Robert asked John to join him in his weekend party band, and shortly afterwards to take on some music students of his own. Within a couple of years, John was teaching guitar at 3 different music stores in the greater Detroit area, as well as playing with a variety of Top 40, and other types of bands in a range of musical environments.
Some of the genres that John loves the most are Rock, Progressive Rock, and jazz fusion. He has a wide range of musical influences including Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Leslie West, Neal Schon, Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, Robben ford, and many others.
John attended Oakland University in Rochester, MI where he studied jazz guitar and business. Playing live often with a variety of groups introduced him to many different genres, including Funk/R&B, Soul, and Pop, which greatly developed the musical versatility he has today.
In 2000 he moved his family to another music city, Nashville, TN. In Nashville he has the opportunity to play out in the local music scene downtown and collaborate with the incredible live and recording scene there. John is also very active with the music team at the church he attends and has been able to contribute his musical ability in writing and playing there for a number of years now.
